The Wanderer Yarra Valley Syrah 2015

Andrew Marks is one of the quiet achievers of the Yarra Valley. He works with Timo Mayer on his family’s Gembrook Hill range of wines, but sources grapes for his own The Wanderer label from vineyards throughout the Yarra Valley. He also does an excellent Carignan during his annual pilgimage to Catalunya. And in his spare time, makes and markets gin under The Melbourne Gin Company label.

This 2015 Syrah is a brand new release, with just 18 bottles collected by me from the winery on Thursday. Two bottles are going into my Singapore cellar leaving 16 for retail.

It’s missed this week’s airfreight so if ordered will be in Singapore in the second week of January.

It’s safe to say you won’t see this wine much outside of Australia.
